With a pencil or crayon in hand, one could say that Joycelyn's artistic ability began during early childhood. Over time, she has developed her own creative techniques through self-traing. However, in recent years, she has been studying privately under a master artist.

Joycelyn's talent in fine arts spans from portrature to figure painting; all of which she designs using oil paint, acrylic paint or pencil. Her appreciation of Native American culture is the inspiration behind most of her work. In fact, several of her portraits are reflections of Native Americans whom she has had the pleasure of knowing over many years.

Her other artistic endeavors include using colorful enamels to create ornate paintings on glass, and watercolors to create lush landscapes, flowers and plants on canvas. Joycelyn also recently became a certified One Stroke Instructer. Please view some of her One Stroke paintings by clicking here.

Mills Pond House gallery in St. James has exhibited Joycelyn's work. She is a current member of the Smithtown Township Arts Council (S.T.A.C.) and also works as the resident artist at her church, Holy Cross, in Nesconset. You can view her S.T.A.C. profile online by clicking here.
